Climb a rock face with men’s Vasque Scree boots. These boots feature Stealth rubber, a substance that handles massive pressure before slipping away from steep rock face, taking you where other footwear cannot. The uppers are constructed of 1.8mm waterproof nubuck leather and airmesh nylon, assuring a comfortable climb. Dual density EVA and EVA-lution make up the footbed and midsole, only increasing the overall quality. I hike quite a bit-- about 800 miles a year and need pretty solid shoes. My last boots were the Vasque Wasatch and though I liked those a lot, I wanted to try something a bit lighter. With that said, since I'm not a rich man I don't have multiple pairs of hiking footwear at the same time so I also need something waterproof. The Vasque Scree met all my needs. Instead of breaking them in, I just went for it. Their first adventure was a 17 mile hike with 6 of those miles through a wet, off-trail canyon. My feet stayed dry and I never slipped scrambling over rocks or beaver dams. They were even comfortable and perfect straight out of the box. We'll see how they hold up after time, but right now they are winners.

I literally put these boots on for the first time and hiked into desolation wilderness for a day-hike. I NEVER hike in a boot that hasn't been broken in, but I had no choice and I was pleasantly surprised with the result. No blisters or fatigue, and they felt like I had worn them for a week before the hike. Truly amazed! I would buy them again, for sure. Vasque boots never let me down.
