Converse kicks it up a notch when it comes to combat boots. The Rapid Response features Tailex lining, which ensures long-lasting comfort, abrasion resistance and climate control. Preventing any burdening blisters and other unwanted aches, this technology allows Converse military boots to rapidly adapt to a foot that's constantly in motion. Additionally, it creates tiny air pockets that maintain a favorable climate inside the boot that gives the foot more breathing room during any tactical operation. Especially vital in hot climates, the lining will capture every iota of moisture, pulling it away from the foot and readying it for evaporation as soon as the boot is taken off. This speedy evaporation process greatly reduces mildew- and odor-causing bacteria.
The removable dual density polyurethane cushion provides a ridged pillow that protects the sole of foot. For extra reinforcement, Converse placed an EVA midsole between feet and the rugged terrain. Rounding out the sole, there's a shock eliminator heel plug and a dual density mountain trail outsole that gives not one, but two firm, shock-absorbing layers of compact rubber.

After wearing sneakers at a post where I'm on my feet for hours at a time, I was looking for a nice pair of waterproof boots to wear in the rain.
These seem comfortable (although stiff) but the top part of the shoe at the end of the laces bows up and they feel too wide (bought 13M). I'll be exchanging them for another brand
