The Lunada Gearslinger is a step up in size from Maxpedition's best-selling Remora. A longer padded ambidextrous shoulder strap provides more comfort in carrying heavier loads, while an additional retention cross strap (also ambidextrous) prevents bag from swinging around during rapid movement.

Lunada Gearslinger
Customer Rating
Very well-constructed product. Helps keep your kit organized. With some planning, you can fit a decent amount of gear inside, and the molle webbing on outside allows for added storage/carrying options. I have to admit that carrying the bag gearslinger style is fine, but it's not exactly all that comfortable, especially if your wearing only a tshirt or a thin shirt/fleece. The extra stability strap helps though and overall the gearslinger style offers some versatile carrying otions. I dig the availability of the molle/webbing for adding attachments. The bag is not that big though, and manuevering inside the main compartment can be a little tight. I recommend finding yourself a good pouch (EDC Pouch or Fatty) and stowing some items inside that and then stowing the pouch inside the main compartment of the Lunada - you'll still have some room inside the main compartment for a few other things and your critical items will be available when you need them and not stuffed down into the bottom of the main compartment. Also, don't plan on attaching any large items to the outside of the pack via the webbing. The body of the Lunada is just not large enough to support bigger items/pouches. Maybe a mini rollypoly for a bottle holder on one side and a MM rollypoly or vertical gp pouch on the other side for extra storage... Just my thoughts...but that's one of the great things about maxped gear, you can use your imagination and come up with various configurations to suit your individual needs...Overall this is a very tough, durable, and functional bag....just plan ahead before you start packing your gear and you'll be able to get the most out of this well-done Lunada.
Sturdy, loads of features
Customer Rating
This bag is very well-made and sturdy. Expect to be able to put it to many uses. It is has many zippered compartments, roomy for all my needs.
Ammo bag
Customer Rating
I have this as my Ammo bag for the last few months. The front flat pocket holds my permits and papers. the second compartment It keeps my magazines in order and the main compartment can hold about 8 boxes of 9mm ammo the top pouch carries my Eye and ear pro and my 9mm fits snuggly in the rear compartment. With all that it is a heavy load but its a tough little thing and the strap is padded and comfortable. with the M.O.L.L.E attachment points adding more mag holders and pouches are easy.
Backpack
Customer Rating
This is a compact but exceptionally high quality back pack. It holds alot of stuff for such a compact bag. Plenty of room for my medical kit, Bug Out supplies, Sig Sauer P238 with spare magazine and room for some little extras. I want to get the 32oz water bottle and holder to attach to it. It is my Supply bag/Go bag that I take to work and home daily(minus the fire arm). I am so impressed that I am ordering a larger Gearslinger for my primary everyday bag to keep in my vehicle. I highly recomend Maxpedition.
Good for EDC
Customer Rating
I have been looking for the "perfect" EDC (Every Day Carry) bag for years now. Something that could hold a netbook, camera, first aid kit, pens, pencils, keys and toiletries, and not scream "hey, I've got a bunch of expensive stuff in here" to the casual onlooker. Netbook bags were too small, laptop bags were too big. I tried messenger bags, but they never had enough organization so I ended up with pouches and more pouches, almost doubling the weight of any bag I used. I used a Dakine backpack for a while, but it was too big to bring on casual errands. Enter the Lunada. Its main pocket holds my netbook with plenty of room for a hardback, power cords and a travel towel (like you're surprised). The top pocket holds knickknacks and snacks, and the lower pocket has the aforementioned pens, etc.
I've only had the bag for a couple of days, but it's infinitely lighter than any of my other bags. Also, the construction is top notch. This thing is overbuilt and ready to take a beating. The closest thing to complaints I can come up with have to do with the shock cord and the rear pocket. First, what the hell is that shock cord supposed to do on the front? should I put an umbrella through it? It serves no logical purpose to my knowledge, save making the bag look more "tacticool". Second, the setup of the rear pocket doesn't allow for cross-draw of a firearm, and strong-arm draw is awkward at best if the bag is worn close to the body.
Overall, I dig this bag. It's big enough to carry all my essentials, but small enough to keep me from going overboard with what can become "essential" due to magical thinking.
Outstanding
Customer Rating
This product is made with the same high level of craftsmanship as all of the other Maxpedition products. Zippers are heavy duty, stitching is solid and the compartments are generous. The volume of this bag is greater than expected. I was able to easily transfer my Maxpedition Jumbo Pack items over to this pack. The carry of this bag is much more comfortable than the Jumbo Pack. The ease of carry will have you wanting to carry it everywhere you go. I purchased the khaki and the shade has a slight hint of olive in it. The color is outstanding!!
