Lightweight but warm, lots of pockets, side zippers go almost up to the underarm for your sidearm access. (so no matter if you are short waisted or long waisted it should work). It's a man's jacket, but as a female who wears a 12-14 the medium fits very well. It blocks the wind. The pockets hold the heat from your hand warmers very well.
