Magnum RD Pants

Well, to start off, they look great, and sturdy. So far I have found that they are exactly that. I have a pair of extra heavyweight work pants of another brand that I use for cutting firewood. I use to use them for all types of work. I got these pants and they replaced the other pair for a lot of my work. I also use them shooting, working on the car, tractor work, hiking… you name it. They are nice and light, breathable and have a tough feel to them. I am very impressed with the pants’ durability for the time I have owned them. I had some dirt ground in the seat from a job I was on, and it took a couple washes and it’s just as good as new. I love the pockets in them. It’s more than most people need, but I have found numerous uses for the multitude of them. I have one beef though; they seem to run small. The 34 waist fits like a big 32 or even a 33 if you can find that. So I recommend a size larger to find a good fit.

Received my RD pants from Magnum a few weeks ago. Appearance of these pants are awesome. They are very breathable, which is good for these summer months. I have utilized these so far on the range and a few warrant service shifts with no complaints. These pants are very durable and have held up well while kicking in doors and firing from the prone position on dirt and gravel. There are many more pockets than you would find on traditional BDU pants, which makes these the best choice for all operations. I would recommend ordering a size bigger for these run a little small. Thanks to Magnum for sending me a few sizes to find the right ones. Keep up the great work. I would definitely recommend the RD pants to my brothers and sisters in law enforcement and corrections. You won’t be disappointed.

I love these pants but I don’t really like the look of the knee area. First I feel the need to commend Magnum for adding a gusseted crotch with vent eyelets sewn into the inner thigh areas to release heat. I don’t know if this was based on my own input, but I have been screaming for this design for a long time. These are very lightweight and the rip stop durability is obvious from the start. Like I mentioned in another review I usually don’t need a lot of pockets, probably because I just get confused as to where I have put everything, so I tend to only use a couple of pockets. I would also rather keep mobility and comfort over carrying a bunch of stuff in my pockets pressed against my joints and muscles. These pants are flexible due to their design and material, and I love wearing them. The cool thing about the pockets on these pants is that there isn’t any Velcro, so a lot of folks will be happy about that. Especially Army dudes who have come to dislike it. The main hand pockets are made out of mesh netting. Some may dislike this because of the chance they might get objects tangled in it, but I have asked for this for a long time now for more ventilation. Anyone with common sense knows the crotch area is one of the hottest areas on the body but that’s also where the most layering and reinforcement is. Hot air also rises so it only makes sense to let heat vent out of the pockets. I also feel the need to remind folks that most rip stop cottons are lint traps for some reason. Not only these pants but similar materials I have from other companies.

Magnum provides a great line of Pants. RD Tactical Pants and RD stands for Ready Deployment and these pants are pretty much ready for anything. I bought several pairs of these in each available color and I have been wearing them non-stop as it has cooled down. They are practical enough for travel with tons of pockets and the fit is exceptional. They are easy to wash, fold and store. These pants are tough and built for men in the line of duty and whether you are wearing them on the job or in the field, I think your going to be really happy with the durability of these pants. I recently wore them out on a business trip with a quality polo and felt comfortable and at ease in the business environment as I would in the field. The locations of the pockets are very well placed and my only grip is that I would like to have at least one or two pockets with zippers, especially my back wallet pocket but that wont stop me from buying more of these over the years.

The Magnum RD Pants were light, breathable and worked perfectly for my needs. I was able to work in them comfortably in damp weather, and I felt like they had a good amount of room in the legs to move around.
