Genuine Gear Poly / Cotton Ripstop BDU Pants

I ordered these pants and the jacket on a Friday and got them Monday. Jacket fit perfect. The pants were a little big for my size, BUT they were soooo comfortable! VERY well made. I actually slept in those pants that night! I am going to order 2 more pair and get the next size down. Very good quality at a VERY good price! Everybody at work was very impressed with the set. I purchased these pants for rough use at the range. This is my first experience with Propper brand Genuine Gear. Coloring is great, (does match the ACU jacket in same camo) and material feels that it should last a long time. Be aware that the sizing chart is VERY accurate. Im 6ft 2in 200lbs and ordered the XL3 (extra lage long) size from the chart and heres what I found. Waist: I wear 36x34 in jeans and these are WAY big. (My fault not theirs). I ordered thinking they might shrink after washing and wearing thremal stuff underneath in the winter. I have to pull the straps in nearly all the way to fit and then add a belt. So if you think you need a size bigger than listed I wouldnt recommend it. Length: Is very good. Again I ordered thinking shrinkage after washing and wearing thermals underneath. They do touch the floor at the heel in bare feet. If you tuck them into boots or cinch them using the strings you should be good. Overall they are comfortable as standalone or with thermal undergarments and should keep out the cold and wind. I gave it 5 stars becuase of the finish and quality of materials. Cant ding em for sizing when its buyers error.

Having worn bdu's for 16 years, I have found that the zipper fly is better than button. They seem lighter when its hot. I've tryed walmart type and they don't hold up as well as real bdu's.

I am very fond of these pants, light yet strong and very comfortable. The only issue I have with them is that they are zipper fly, while I'm used to a button fly on BDU pants. they are true to size and feel great while I'm wearing them.

I wear these uniform items daily and have never had a problem with the pants or blouse. These fit better than the Milspec stuff, and the zipper fly is alot better than buttons. Have had these same uniforms over 3 years and they are still worn daily.

These pants seem t be made pretty wellz Zip-fly which I like. The material is a little lighter than Mil-Spec BDUs, but not bad of flimsy....I got the navy blue color and it is very dark, almost black. They don't match my regular Propper BDU tops at all so if you need a matching set you better buy the Genuine Gear top too. The only real weak point seems to be the belt loops. They are very thin, about half the width of a regular loop. They look like they might tear off easily. Overall they are just OK, fine for light training/duty and are pretty cool in hot weather.

I am very hard on clothes but these have lasted years. The only one I have lost or had to throw away was due to falling on a mountain (nothing serious) but it ripped the seam down the leg. So I would say that is an extreme case. I wear them daily.
