Blackhawk's Element Shell Outer - Layer 3 Jacket is the finishing touch in this three part winter protection system. Its zippers are waterproof to battle any snowy or rainy conditions that may pop up. The fleece-lined collar and chin flap are comfortable and keep out winter elements. High abrasion areas are covered in rugged face fabric to increase its durability. The adjustable pit-zips provide for additional ventilation. This jacket can be worn alone for milder weather and layered up with other Blackhawk Element pieces for those extremely cold days.

With only cotton pants, Tshirt, a light fleece shirt, fleece hat, water proof boots, fingerless wool liner gloves as my base layer I thought to test this Shell Jacket and Pants. It was 34 degrees out, a wild storm on Lake Michigan , With fierce winds whipping up the waves and spray, a torrent of rain, and I was fine; excellent product!!!
